April 13-15, 2021

San Jose McEnery Convention Center San Jose, CA

To the DesignCon community,

On behalf of the team at DesignCon, we hope you are well and staying safe during this time. We have some important updates to share regarding our 2021 event.

As we continue to plan for a productive and safe in-person event and with DesignCon’s conference rapidly outgrowing its current space, we are proactively rescheduling DesignCon to April 2021—originally slated for January—and moving it from the Santa Clara Convention Center to the larger, Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) STAR accredited San Jose McEnery Convention Center.

Please join us at the San Jose Convention Center for DesignCon, April 13-15, 2021. Registration for the in-person event will open this fall.

The change in venue allows for additional space for DesignCon’s ever-growing technical conference, allowing for even more professionals to learn from the experts who present each year. The move also provides more room on our expo floor, allowing for increased exhibiting space, extra seating in Chiphead Theater, the addition of a Career Zone, and more.

The larger space allows us to welcome attendees from the Drive World and Embedded Systems Conferences, bringing together more engineering professionals in automotive electronics and intelligence and embedded hardware, software, and IoT. Watch DesignCon's conference page for updates.

In the meantime, we know that innovation does not stop.

That’s why we’re launching our first virtual event, DesignCon’s Back-to-School Webinar Series, hosted with our media partner Design News, and cross-promoted to both the DesignCon and Design News communities. For five days this September, expert engineers from DesignCon’s conference will share their insights from the electronics chip, board, and system industries. Find more information on this complimentary Back-to-School Webinar Series here.

Whether you’re an attendee, exhibitor, speaker, or member of the press, we understand how much effort goes into preparing for an event like DesignCon, and we hope that this proactive move ensures enough time to adjust your plans. In the meantime, we’ll see you at DesignCon’s Back-to-School Webinar Series this fall and look forward to sharing more about our April 2021 live event as planning progresses.

Sincerely,

Suzanne Deffree
