Mixel® is a leading provider of Silicon-proven mixed-signal IP cores to the semiconductor and electronics industries. Mixel licenses high-performance analog and mixed-signal IP cores to the communications, consumer and storage markets for use in system-on-chip, ASICs and embedded systems. Mixel's mixed-signal IP portfolio includes high performance PHYs, SerDes, PLLs, DLLs, and analog building blocks. They are used in Mobile applications such as MIPI, MDDI, networking and storage applications, and a variety of transceivers.

Technologies on Display:

MXL-PHY-MMU-RX3
Product Category: Semiconductor IP
Other: Mixed-Signal Product

Mixel® Inc. announced the availability of the first MIPI/MDDI unified PHY IP solution The MXL-PHY-MMU-RX3 is a compliant with the VESA Version 1.2 specification and the MIPI Alliance Standard for D-PHY Mobile Display Digital Interface version 1.0. It consists of 4 lanes: 1 Clock/Strobe lane, 1 bidirectional data lane and 2 unidirectional data lanes, which makes it suitable for display interface applications. The MDDI and MIPI blocks share the same signal and supply pins. The receive termination is embedded and can be used for both MDDI and MIPI. Once the Display module is qualified it can be used for both MIPI and MDDI resulting in faster time to market and in area and cost savings.

MXL-PHY-MIPI
Product Category: Semiconductor IP
Other: Mixed-Signal Product

The MXL-PHY-MIPI is a high-frequency low-power, low-cost, source-synchronous, physical Layer compliant with the MIPI Alliance Standard for D-PHY 1.0. Although it is primarily used for connecting cameras and display devices to a cost processor, it can also be used for many other portable applications. Mixel was the first IP provider to have this IP silicon-proven. High-Speed signals have a low voltage swing, while Low-Power signals have large swing. High-Speed functions are used for High-Speed Data traffic while low power functions are mostly used for control. Mixel 2nd generation D-PHY has been optimized for low power and small area, and has been licensed by several of Mixel customers in a number of different foundries.

MXL-PLL-SYN-LIF-DC
Product Category: Semiconductor IP
Other: Mixed-Signal Special

The MXL-PLL-SYN-LIF-DC has two input frequency ranges which can be as low as 32KHZ. The high input frequency range is from 8MHz - 20MHz with a maximum output frequency of 550MHZ. All output programmable dividers produce 50% duty cycle for even and odd divisors. It incorporates two programmable output dividers, bypass mode, and supports a full power down mode. It is a high performance, low power dissipation, highly programmable PLL based frequency synthesizer. Highly integrated and requires no external components. Differential circuit techniques are employed to attain low jitter in the noisy environment typical of multi-million gates digital chip. The circuit is designed in a modular fashion and desensitized to process variations. This facilitates process migration, and results in robust design.
