Program Schedule
SoC design teams are buffeted by the strong opposing winds of increased functionality, reduced time–to–market and shrinking budgets. In this environment, reliance on external IP providers is only increasing. However in order to be provide a smooth IP integration flow, IP providers have to go beyond providing IP and supporting collateral to provide a Total IP Solution that helps SoC teams succeed in their overall project objectives. Increasingly, this success is dictated by collateral such as Architectural consulting, Verification IP and Software Drivers/Stacks.
The panelists will include IP providers [Arasan] as well as Soc Integrators and System Designers who will share their IP integration experience and key learning. The panel will address these key issues as the reliance on external IP keeps increasing. The discussion will provide perspective to the evolving IP and SoC Integration ecosystem that enables companies to bring innovative SoC based platforms quickly to the market.

Mr. Gopalan, a 25 year veteran of the semiconductor industry, comes with experience at companies like IBM Microelectronics, National Semiconductor and also as an entrepreneur at Cognigine. He works with many early stage companies like Arasan Chip Systems on their marketing strategy and business development and helping them with their growth plans. He holds a BS from IIT/Delhi, India, an MS for UNB, Canada and an exec MBA from Stanford, USA.
