Kilopass XPM (Extra Permanent Memory) technology is built using standard, commercially available CMOS logic process technologies and is silicon proven to deliver high density, high performance, and high reliability electrically field-programmable embedded NVM solutions at a low cost. Over 50+ customers have integrated XPM in over 150+ designs from 180nm to 65nm. Applications range from a few hundred bits for unique ID to prevent cloning to multiple instances of 1Mb for program code storage. Many of the designs up to 90nm are ramping up to high volume production or have been in high volume production since 2003.

SnapXPM is a library of pre-configured non-volatile memories across more than 10 semiconductor process technologies. In addition, it also supports various configuration options to avoid extra waste and thus saves silicon area. The off-the-shelf products offer a fast time-to-market, and lower cost solution.SnapXPM includes 40 XPM modules that are most commonly used in customers’ designs and is pre-packaged to meet customers’ immediate requirement. Snap XPM is available from 0.18um to 65nm at foundries including TSMC, Chartered, and Dongbu and are priced at 25% to 30% lower than existing XPM products. Its configuration options include density, read voltage, program/read bus width, and charge pump.
