Cadence® OrCAD® Capture CIS with Digi-Key® integration provides a wealth of content at the engineer’s fingertips. With Digi-Key, an OrCAD Capture CIS user has access to over 1,000,000 parts in the Digi-Key database with device parameters, RoHS compliance status, cost, quantity on hand, and mechanical dimensions. The Component Information Portal™ (CIP) is the engine that drives the integration. It enables non-OrCAD Capture CIS users to have access to the parts database behind OrCAD Capture CIS without using the native software. Users external to engineering, like documentation and purchasing departments, can use CIP to view and modify data within the corporate CIS database. With EMA enterprise integration, the CIS database will hold data from external systems like ERP and PLM.
