Exhibitor News Page
Post your news releases on the Exhibitor News Page and aid members of the press with your personalized electronic media kit and company information as they cover DesignCon 2009. Your on-line media kit will be posted as part of the DesignCon 2009 Web site. Virtual Press Office (VPO) will maintain your on-line media kit daily and distribute your news releases to thousands of journalists, further expanding your reach. VPO will also provide full reporting so you can measure your PR efforts.

Media/Analyst List

Valuable PR opportunities you receive as an exhibitor at the DesignCon 2009 include access to our Pre-Registered Press and Analyst List as well as the show list from the previous two years.

This list is provided in an Excel report, sorted by company (publication), which includes full contact information including phone numbers and e-mails of all press that have pre-registered for the event and a separate list of press that have registered for the two previous DesignCon events. You will also receive press contacts of our media sponsors.

With this list, you will have the ability to contact press and analysts with company news. You will have the chance to extend invitations for media tours and press events such as breakfasts, luncheons, and dinners. The list will also aid you in arranging interviews for your company’s top executives and experts as well as providing the media with photos and company facts.

Please keep in mind to only send newsworthy items to our media as we want to avoid spamming them with unnecessary information.

Pre-Registration for Media Guests

Though the DesignCon 2009 team is eager to aid your company in all its PR efforts, we highly encourage you to invite your company’s own press contacts as well.

We will provide your media guests with complimentary registration granting them full access to the entire conference and exhibition floor.

They will receive full access to the press room, all conference proceedings and exclusive media accommodations.

You can pre-register them at: www.designcon.com/2009/press/press_reg.asp.

By pre-registering your media guests, they will avoid long lines at registration and can easily pick up their badges at the press registration counter.

*Please instruct your media guests to bring a business card for verification.  

Public Relations Professionals Registration

A Complimentary Conference Badge provides you with access to PAID conference programming at the show and is available only for PR professionals or communications professionals accompanying a speaker or supporting a session.

The conference badge will allow the professional access to the particular session they are involved in.

You will also receive full access to all keynote addresses, plenary panels, the entire exhibition, and networking receptions.

Pre-Show Idea Checklist
  • Create a pre-show press release announcing your booth and specifics of your product launch or exhibit at the show.
  • Send invitations and a DesignCon 2009 VIP pass to your customers.
  • Do a pre-show direct mailing or send a postcard to potential customers.
  • Add the DesignCon logo to your own Web site announcing your booth and highlighting activities at the show. Visit the logo library here: www.designcon.com/2009/exhibitors/logo_library.asp.
  • Develop a booth traffic builder - explain why people should visit your booth.
  • Include DesignCon name and your booth number in all pre-show advertising.
  • Include DesignCon name and your booth number in a snipe on all regular product and brand advertising placed prior to the show.

About DesignCon 2009

Now in its thirteenth year, the International Engineering Consortium's DesignCon 2009 conference and exhibition will present more than 300 experts in its world-class educational program and 130 exhibitors on its cutting-edge exhibition floor this February 2-5, 2009 at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, California. Agilent Technologies serves as the official sponsor and Mr. James Lin, Vice President of the Technology Infrastructure Group at National Semiconductor Corporation, serves as the conference chair.
