A majority of the semiconductor reporting within the industry dwells on the negative, specifically what isn’t being done or what can’t be solved. Many panel sessions are only composed of companies with the largest market share, so the same players are at every conference. GSA’s IP and EDA/design interest groups are collaborating to bring a dynamic panel discussion focused on what is good and positive and what can be achieved as the industry begins to embrace a new economic and supply chain paradigm. Panel participants will articulate alternative solutions to consider relative to EDA/design and IP issues, focus on attributes that contribute to successful designs, and dispel the negative attitude the industry faces. The focus will be on the positive shifts in an emerging paradigm, injecting fresh ideas that demonstrate a how a mix of disciplines can lead to successful collaboration and cooperation in a worldwide supply-chain based economy.
