EVE was founded in April 2000 with the goal of developing a totally new approach to hardware-assisted verification- one which would provide the productivity only possible with specialized hardware, but without the numerous drawbacks commonly associated with existing emulation systems. Our mission is to make hardware-assisted verification more accessible than ever before: by both SoC designers and embedded software developers; throughout the design cycle; and by groups with modest EDA budgets.

Technologies on Display
  • XXL
ZeBu-XXL is a high capacity system emulator with the easy setup and debugging associated with emulation, but orders of magnitude better in price and performance. Configurable to handle designs from 12.5M to 100M ASIC gates in a compact, rack-mountable unit, and expandable to accommodate up to 200M ASIC gates via 2 interconnected units, ZeBu-XXL primarily aims at large-scale chip and system emulation applications. It is ideal for the system-integration phase of the design cycle where multiple logic blocks, multiple chips, and embedded software all must be verified together. Hardware design and software development teams can share the same system and design representation, and can easily collaborate when debugging complex hardware/software interactions.
  • UF
With the high capacity, easy setup and debugging associated with emulation, but orders of magnitude better in price and performance, ZeBu-UF (Ultra Fast) is ideal for block-level verification and for the system integration phase of the design cycle where multiple logic blocks and embedded software all must be verified together. Hardware design and software development teams can share the same system and design representation, and can easily collaborate when debugging complex hardware/software interactions. The net effect is that hardware/software integration takes place much earlier in the design cycle, thereby reducing silicon respins and accelerating time to market.ZeBu-UF is built as an extended PCI card via a motherboard-daughtercard approach and is based on the Xilinx Virtex4-LX200.
