Amphenol Corporation is one of the world's largest manufacturers of electronic and fiber optic connectors, cable, cable assembly and interconnect systems, providing a full-spectrum of solutions for the converging technologies of voice, video and data communications, industrial/automotive and military/aerospace. With a long history of delivering innovation and value, Amphenol provides the right connections "inside and outside the box."

Technologies on Display
  • EXDTM Extended Distance 10Gb+ SkewClear® Cable
Spectra-Strip's EXD 100 ohm twinaxial cable is designed for high data rate / long length applications, typically 10Gb and higher, where traditional cable designs have resonance ("suck out") that severely attenuates harmonic frequency content. The EXD design incorporates a patent pending pair shield structure that eliminates this resonance completely though 20GHz (40Gb). In addition, the EXD shield design offers improved insertion loss over traditional twinaxial structures. Cable is available in 30 through 24 AWG, in single and multi-pair formats, and with halogen free jacketing.
  • 4-in-1 Memory Card Connector
This connector enables more card types to be read in a single socket:
    • Supports SD, MMC, MS & XD memory cards
    • Includes a push-push function for easy card insertion and ejection
    • Allows cards of different form factors to be stored and hided within the socket
    • Eliminates the needs for multiple connectors
    • Saves real estate space on PC boards
  • VHDM Cable and Flex Assemblies
VHDM® Cable and Flex Assemblies are the cable solution complement to Amphenol's broad VHDM backplane product family. The VHDM backplane system is a 3.125 Gb/s capable connector system. Crosstalk is held to less than 5% through the connector. Stripline shielding allows all of the connector's pins to be used as signals resulting in 101 real signals per linear inch for the 8 row version. The cable and flex assemblies are available in 6- and 8-row product versions. Cable assembly wiring options include twinax, coax, individual-conductor, and extruded ribbon cables. Both cable and flex assemblies can be designed using a variety of hardware schemes for strain relief, mating guidance, positive retention and latch/ejection.
