The ABCs of System-Level Design
Monday, February 4 | 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm
Lionel Bella, Principal Hardware Engineer, Crossbeam Systems
Designers today face a multitude of increasingly complex challenges when developing next-generation systems. To meet those challenges, a systems developer requires a broad knowledge base such that proper decisions can be made to account for PCB layout and fabrication issues, signal and power integrity concerns, mechanical and thermal issues, compliance criteria, and manufacturing and test, in addition to the fundamental requirement of making the electrical circuit itself function properly over its prescribed requirements. This presentation was developed to serve as a "designer's handbook" to help engineers and managers navigate through this network of disciplines to derive a robust and reliable product whatever the requirements.
