Senior Fellow and Chief Platform Architect

Steve Polzin is a senior fellow and chief platform architect at AMD. He is responsible for defining and implementing AMD's platform strategy across server, desktop and mobile product lines. This includes forging close development ties with chipset and component manufacturers worldwide to drive high levels of support and market adoption for next-generation AMD microprocessors. Mr. Polzin has held a number of senior technical roles at AMD in the areas of server design, system architecture and northbridge development. Before joining AMD, Mr. Polzin held senior engineering roles at Apple Computer and Digital Equipment Corporation. Mr. Polzin holds of BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Connecticut.
