TECHNOLOGIES ON DISPLAY
·Mobile Digital Display Interface (MDDI)
The MDDI (a Mobile Display Digital Interface) is a high speed serial interface that offers lower power consumption and reduces number of wires required to connect digital controller to LCD. The MXL-TXRX-MDDI transceiver is a VESA compliant client transceiver allowing bidirectional transfer of video, audio and control signals between the host processor and display terminal. Mixel is the first IP provider to make available a silicon-proven MDDI transceiver. The MXL-TXRX-MDDI is designed in digital CMOS technology.
·SerDes
Mixel offers several high-performance SerDes interface IPs that support numerous protocols such as PCI Express, SATA, RapidIO, XAUI, Fibre Channel, and LVDS. These IPs cover a wide range of data rates from 75 Mbps to 5Gbps. The MXL-SR-LVDS and MXL-DS-LVDS are LVDS SerDes IPs that operate from 75Mbps to 1.15Gbps. The MXL-4254 is a highly programmable SerDes that operates from 1Gbps to 4.25Gbps. Mixel SerDes IPs are silicon proven in a variety of digital process technologies and process nodes.
·High Frequency, High Performance PLLs
Mixel PLL technology has been silicon proven for many generations, and is implemented in million of chips. Process nodes spans 180nm to 90nm, and speeds up to 2.5 Gbps. Mixel PLLs are highly programmable, incorporate Lock-detect function, and short lockup time. They exhibit low jitter even in noisy environment typical of multi-million gate IC's due to Mixel's PLL proprietary architecture. Mixel PLLs are used for a variety of applications such as Clock de-skewing, frequency synthesis, clock and data recovery, and spread-spectrum.
