Nextreme is a product family of 90nm Structured ASIC devices, ranging from 350K to 5M ASIC gates, featuring 350 MHz system performance, embedded memory, PLLs, DLLs, user-configurable I/Os, DDR1, DDR2, LVDS, and Built-in scan-chain. Nextreme is built on eASIC's patented fabric that combines Look-Up-Table based logic with a single Via-customizable routing. The customization is maskless, employing Direct-write eBeam, which does not require masks and therefore eliminates NRE cost. This approach facilitates wafer-sharing among customers or various projects, thus allows reducing cost, shortening time-to-production and accepting any-volume requirement. Nextreme is an ideal alternative to FPGA since it features better power and performance and significantly lower-cost. The design flow supports standard CAE tools from Magma and Synopsys together with in-house developed tools.
