Applied Simulation Technology provides modeling, extraction and simulation solutions for PCB and IC design. The software enables engineers to analyze the impact of the layout interconnect and power distribution system on performance. Switching noise, dynamic IR drop, crosstalk and transmission line effects are predicted at the layout stage. The extraction includes frequency dependent RLGC parameters. Model order reduction technology is used to handle the large LCR networks associated with power distribution modeling and simulation.

New for this year is ApsimSPE (Signal, Power and EMI simulator). It features graphical impedance, current, voltage and E field distribution plots. The potentially problematic areas are easily identified in the layout by color coded maps.

The software is interfaced with the Industry standard GDSII and LEF/DEF and PCB CAD software.
