Mr. de Geus co-founded Synopsys in 1986 and has since expanded the company from a start-up synthesis enterprise to an EDA industry leader. Besides his many activities in the technology community, he is also active in the business community as chairman of the Silicon Valley Manufacturing Group. Mr. de Geus is the third recipient ever to receive the IEEE Circuits and Systems (CAS) Society Industrial Pioneer Award.
