Increasingly, multimillion gate SoCs can't be developed efficiently without the use of third-party cores. Yet the quality of these cores varies greatly from provider to provider, causing this to be one of the major roadblocks in the industry today. The VSIA will host a panel discussion on how companies measure and ensure quality. Panelists will discuss their beta use of the VSIA Quality IP (QIP) Metric and how they actually scored specific IP cores.
