Emulating/Prototyping a Network Device in a Live Network
Bob Zeidman, President, Zeidman Consulting

This paper describes a project done at Axis Systems to create an emulation of a network bridge and connect it to a live network. The problems-to be described during the paper presentation-were overcome using Molasses software from Zeidman Consulting to provide buffering and digital-to-analog conversion in a standard PC. The paper then describes the network bridge implementation in the Axis Xtreme emulator and the method that Molasses used to overcome the network emulation problem.
