Mr. Donovan co-founded ESLX—based in Austin, Texas—in January 2003. ESLX specializes in electronic system level (ESL) modeling, design and verification training and methodology consulting. Mr. Donovan has provided consulting to a wide variety of companies, ranging from small start-ups to Fortune 500 market leaders. Mr. Donovan is also the co-author of "SystemC: From the Ground Up," a popular book explaining the adoption of advanced usage of SystemC. He was previously a director of professional services at Synopsys. Mr. Donovan has more than 20 years of system and application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) design experience and has participated in the design of more than 20 ASICs and several advanced systems. He has a B.E.E. and M.S.E.E. from Georgia Tech.

Emil Girczyc

With more than 20 years' experience in EDA management, Dr. Girczyc has demonstrated a consistent ability to formulate creative strategies to address emerging EDA markets and to deliver products that solve customer problems. Prior to Summit, Dr. Girczyc served as the president and chief executive officer of 0-In Design Automation, now part of Mentor Graphics, where he led the company during the market adoption of assertion-based verification. Before joining 0-In, he was the vice president of marketing at Cadabra Design Technology, now part of Synopsys. From 1989 to 1997, he held several management positions at Synopsys, where he led the R&D efforts for HDL Compiler and for several new products, including DesignWare, Behavioral Compiler, and Cyclone, and served as the vice president and general manager of simulation. Prior to Synopsys, Dr. Girczyc held positions at Audesyn, Inc. and Bell Northern Research (now Nortel) and held faculty positions in computer and electrical engineering at the University of Alberta and Carleton University. Dr. Girczyc earned his B.S. in engineering from the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada, and his M.S. in engineering and Ph.D. from Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada

Mr. Tobias joined Pixelworks in May 2005. Previously, Mr. Tobias was vice president of the ASIC and Foundry business unit and vice president of engineering in the System LSI group at Toshiba America Electronic Components. Mr. Tobias also served as vice president of engineering of the Systems group at QuickSilver Technology, which acquired White Eagle Systems Technology, a DSP and embedded system turnkey design company that he founded. He was also president and chief operating officer of White Eagle Systems Technology and chief engineer at AcuVoice, in addition to having held various engineering positions with Stanford Telecommunications, Data General, and Advanced Micro Devices. Mr. Tobias holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Minnesota and an M.S. in mathematics from Stanford University.
