Ms. Solomon's responsibilities include developing the Agilent's long-term technology strategy and overseeing the alignment of the company's objectives with its centralized research-and-development activities.

She brings extensive experience in research and development and management to her current leadership role at Agilent Labs.

Ms. Solomon joined Hewlett-Packard Laboratories in 1984 as a member of the technical staff, subsequently holding a variety of research and management positions there, including research and development manager for the Chemical and Biological Systems department.

She joined Agilent Technologies when the company was formed in 1999.

Prior to being named to her current post, she held the dual role of Director of the Life Sciences Technologies Laboratory within Agilent Labs, as well as Senior Director of Research and Development/Technology for Agilent's Life Sciences and Chemical Analysis business.
